Overview

Rampage is a 2018 American science fiction monster film directed by Brad Peyton and loosely based on the video game series by Midway Games. The action-adventure film stars Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The plot follows Davis Okoye, a primatologist who shares an unshakable bond with George, an extraordinarily intelligent silverback gorilla that has been in his care since birth. A rogue genetic experiment goes awry, mutating the gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. It is soon discovered that other similarly altered animals exist. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams up with a discredited genetic engineer. Together, they attempt to secure an antidote to halt the creatures and navigate an ever-changing battlefield. The film depicts the efforts of the primatologist to save the gorilla and stop the three overgrown, aggressive beasts before they cause further destruction. The production is available for streaming on various platforms.
