Overview
Lucifer is an American urban fantasy television series developed by Tom Kapinos that premiered on January 25, 2016, and concluded on September 10, 2021. The show features Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, an alternate version of the DC Comics character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg. Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer abandons his throne to settle in Los Angeles, where he operates a nightclub and seeks to better understand humanity. His life undergoes significant changes when he becomes a consultant for the Los Angeles Police Department, teaming up with detective Chloe Decker to investigate crimes. As he navigates his new existence on Earth, he faces the ongoing threat that the worst of humanity could escape the underworld. The series also features cast members Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, and D.B. Woodside.
