Overview
Magnum P.I. is an American action television series that premiered on CBS. The series stars Jay Hernandez as Thomas Magnum, a former Navy SEAL who becomes a private investigator in Hawaii. Magnum P.I. is a reboot of the 1980-88 television series of the same name. The series was developed by Peter M. Lenkov and Eric Guggenheim. Thomas Magnum returns home from Afghanistan and applies his military skills to become a private investigator, taking jobs no one else will, with the help of fellow vets and a former MI:6 agent. The series aired on CBS for four seasons before moving to NBC. The show features a team of characters, including T.C. Calvin, Rick Wright, and Juliet Higgins, who assist Magnum in his investigations. Magnum P.I. is an action-crime drama television series that concluded its run on January 3, 2024.
