Lynn Rachel Redgrave was born in London, England, on March 8, 1943, and died on May 2, 2010. She was an English actress and a member of a well-known British family of actors, being the youngest child of Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson. She trained in London and made her theatrical debut in 1962, followed by her film appearances by the mid-1960s, including Tom Jones and Georgy Girl. Her career spanned five decades, during which she performed on stage in New York, including her Broadway debut in 1967, and in London's West End. Over the course of her career, she received multiple award nominations and honors, including becoming a recipient of the Order of the British Empire, and she became an American citizen in 1998.
