Joaquim António Portugal Baptista de Almeida is a Portuguese actor born on March 15, 1957, in São Sebastião da Pedreira, Lisbon, Portugal. He began his acting career during the 1980s, appearing in the 1982 action movie The Soldier and the 1983 film The Honorary Consul. He achieved international fame through roles including Félix Cortez in the 1995 thriller Clear and Present Danger, drug kingpin Bucho in the 1995 action thriller Desperado, Ramon Salazar on the Fox thriller drama series 24, and corrupt businessman Hernan Reyes in the 2011 film Fast Five. His other film credits include Good Morning, Babylon, Only You, The Mask of Zorro, Behind Enemy Lines, The Death and Life of Bobby Z, and Che.
