Jaimie Alexander is an American actress born on March 12, 1984, in Greenville, South Carolina. When she was four years old, she moved to Grapevine, Texas. She is the only girl in a family of five children. Alexander began acting in grade school by taking theater for fun, though she later transitioned to sports in high school after being removed from theater due to her singing ability. Professionally, she is known for portraying Jessi on the television series Kyle XY and Sif in the superhero films Thor and Thor: The Dark World, as well as in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Additionally, she stars in the NBC series Blindspot, a role she began playing in 2015.
