Hiroshi Watanabe is a male director and animator born on February 11, 1960, in Kumamoto, Japan. He is also known by the names わたなべひろし, 渡辺ひろし, and 渡辺浩. Originating from Studio Live, where he studied under Ashida Toyoo, he made his debut as an in-betweener on Manga Nihon Emaki and became a key animator on Cyborg 009. He gained recognition for his work as an animation director on the Minky Momo series, which led to him drawing illustrations of Momo and later serving as the character designer for the OVAs. In 1986, he debuted as a director on Kyoushoku Soukou Guyver. After additional work as an animator, he shifted to directing in the early nineties and is currently affiliated with Studio Deen.
