Gurira is known for her starring roles in the AMC horror drama series The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, as well as in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero films, including Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She is also a playwright and has written the Broadway play Eclipsed. Gurira has received nominations for her work on The Walking Dead and for her play Eclipsed.
