Chadwick Boseman was an American actor, playwright, and screenwriter. He graduated from Howard University and studied at the British American Dramatic Academy in Oxford. Boseman's play "Deep Azure" was nominated for a 2006 Joseph Jefferson Award for New Work. His breakout role was playing the lead Jackie Robinson in 42. He is best known for portraying T'Challa/Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in films such as Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Boseman was born on November 29, 1976, in Anderson, South Carolina, and passed away on August 28, 2020.
