Andrew Lincoln, born Andrew James Clutterbuck on September 14, 1973, in London, England, is an English actor. His first major television role was as the character Egg in the BBC drama This Life from 1996 to 1997. He subsequently portrayed Simon Casey in the Channel 4 sitcom Teachers from 2001 to 2003, Mark in the Christmas-themed romantic comedy film Love Actually in 2003, and Dr. Robert Bridge in the ITV television series Afterlife from 2005 to 2006. Beginning in 2010, Lincoln achieved international fame starring as Rick Grimes on the AMC post-apocalyptic horror television series The Walking Dead, earning the Saturn Award for Best Actor on Television in 2015 and 2017 for his performance.
