Michael Bakari Jordan is an American actor, producer, and director born on February 9, 1987, in Santa Ana, California. Raised in Newark, New Jersey, he is the son of Donna Davis and Michael A. Jordan. His middle name, Bakari, translates to noble promise in Swahili. Throughout his career, he has received significant recognition, including an Academy Award, three Actor Awards, and a Producers Guild Award. He has also earned nominations for a British Academy Film Award, a Golden Globe Award, and two Emmy Awards.
