Biography
Alan Cumming is a Scottish actor, writer, and presenter, born January 27, 1965. He is known for his work in theater and television, earning multiple awards including a BAFTA, two Emmys, two Tonys, and an Olivier. He won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy Performance for Accidental Death of an Anarchist in 1991 and received nominations for The Conquest of the South Pole, La Bête, and Cabaret. On Broadway, he won a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for Cabaret in 1998 and also performed in Design for Living and Macbeth.
