The television series 8 Out of 10 Cats is a comedy panel show that features opinion polls and statistics. It was first broadcast on Channel 4 and later aired on More4 and E4. The show is based on a huge series of opinion poll surveys carried out around Britain. It was hosted by British stand-up comedian Jimmy Carr, who showcased his quick wit and snappy one-liners whilst hosting the series. The programme was made by Zeppotron, a subsidiary of Endemol, for Channel 4. The show draws on polls produced by a variety of organizations and new polls commissioned for the programme. The series premiered on 3 June 2005 and aired until 17 January 2021. The show's format is centered around a weekly, topical panel discussion.
