Instinct is an American police procedural drama television series created by Michael Rauch that premiered on March 18, 2018, on CBS. The series is inspired by the book series Murder Games by James Patterson. The story follows Dr. Dylan Reinhart, who is a gifted author, university professor, and former Central Intelligence Agency operative. After leaving the Central Intelligence Agency profession, he creates a normal life as a professor and writer. However, he is lured back to his old life by tenacious top New York Police Department Detective Lizzie Needham. Although Dylan and Lizzie initially clash, when it comes to catching killers, they make an ideal team.
