Overview

The series pits well‑known reality competitors and other public figures against one another in a competitive game that blends elements of a murder mystery with a strategic prize‑building challenge. Set within an ancient castle deep in the Scottish Highlands, the programme is presented by award‑winning actor Alan Cumming, who guides participants through a series of missions designed to increase a collective prize fund that can reach as much as $250,000. As the contestants complete these tasks, they must also navigate a hidden social dynamic: among the group are individuals designated as “Traitors.” While the majority, referred to as the “Faithful,” collaborate to grow the fund, the Traitors work covertly to eliminate the Faithful and ultimately claim the prize for themselves. The format therefore combines cooperative physical and mental challenges with a secret‑identity component, creating tension as players attempt to identify and outmaneuver the hidden adversaries while striving to secure the monetary reward.
