A wildfire has broken out on a ranch near Carbondale, Colorado, in the Roaring Fork Valley, forcing the evacuation of nearby homes in Eagle County.
As of mid afternoon, the fire has grown to more than 80 acres. An aggressive aerial firefighting attack is currently under way to try to slow the spread of the wind-driven wildfire, with both helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
