Based on investigation documents, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Nam Dinh Provincial Police mobilized all forces and deployed 8 working groups to simultaneously conduct arrest and search warrants. Issued to the subjects involved in the ring: Hoang Phu Quoc, Trinh Dinh Tu, Van Dinh Hoang, Le Tuan Anh, Duong Danh Chien, Nguyen Thi Linh, Dinh Khac Huan and Nguyen Thanh Loc, with permanent residence residing in many different provinces and cities across the country.

The police confiscated 13 mobile phones, 5 computers and laptops, 1 car and many other evidence used to organize gambling and gambling activities to serve the investigation.

At the police station, the suspects confessed that, from February 2023 until now, they had promoted and called for more than 3,500 participating accounts to participate in gambling through the online game portal VN168. The amount of gambling transactions per day is about 500 million – 600 million VND. It is estimated that from the beginning of 2023 until now, the amount of online gambling transactions on VN168 Game Portal is up to more than 200 billion VND.

The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention has handed over the case to the Police Department – Nam Dinh Provincial Police for investigation according to its authority.
