“This time it’s the large landing ship Novocherkask…Thank you to the Air Force pilots and all the participants,” said Mykola Oleshchuk.

At around 3 a.m. local time, explosions were reported in the Feodosia area. An Iranian ship carrying ammunition was said to have blown up and a fire broke out in the port.

According to Russian-affiliated media, residents reported hearing loud explosions, seeing clouds of smoke and traffic on the Crimean bridge being blocked.

Sergey Aksenov, head of Crimea’s administration, announced that “an enemy attack was carried out in the Feodosia region and the port area was blocked.”

Ukraine has repeatedly used drones and missiles to attack targets on the peninsula, where Russia’s Black Sea Fleet is stationed.

The fleet’s headquarters in the port city of Sevastopol was damaged by Ukrainian missiles in September. Previously, Kiev also targeted Russian shipyards and warships operating along the Crimean coast.
