Today, January 14, at a garden house on Thach Cau Street, Long Bien, Hanoi, the Dahlia Flower Festival took place. The event attracts many flower-loving women, especially those who have a passionate love for the flower that Vietnamese people have long considered a traditional flower. Seeing the dahlias blooming means Tet is coming.

Ms. Le Thi Phuong (40 years old, in Long Bien), owner of a garden house and organizer of this dahlia flower festival, shared: “During a fresh flower event exhibition, I was surprised when a A female friend about 19 or 20 years old saw the dahlias and immediately asked me ‘What is this beautiful flower?’.

I’m startled because there are still people who don’t know about the flower associated with our traditional Tet. Since then, I have consulted some gardeners’ opinions, including the opinions of dahlia lovers, and decided to organize this dahlia flower festival to let everyone, especially young people, know more about it. “.

The preparation time for the dahlia flower festival took about more than a month. During the preparation process, Ms. Phuong also encountered many difficulties, typically the weather. Because in the past week, heavy rains have caused a number of dahlias in her garden and other gardeners to be damaged, crushed, and broken.

“Rainy weather also affects people coming to enjoy the exhibition. Previously, when the exhibition was announced, people all over Vietnam were looking forward to it, especially in the Northern region. But now there are only a few. “My brothers and sisters came from Thai Nguyen and Thai Binh to attend the festival,” Ms. Phuong felt a little sad but still had a smile on her face.

As a woman who loves flowers and home decoration, Ms. Ha Minh (Thanh Tri, Hanoi) was present at the dahlia flower festival very early. Ms. Minh shared: “Ever since I was little, when Tet was near, my mother and grandmother sent me to the market to buy Tet flowers. My mother and grandmother loved dahlias very much, and mentioning dahlias reminded me of memories. Beautiful memories from childhood. So today when I learned there was a dahlia flower festival, I didn’t miss it even though my house was about 20km from the venue and it was raining again. Coming here, I was very surprised by the dahlia flowers. There are many colorful colors and many women arrange flower vases very skillfully and beautifully,” Ms. Minh confided.

Let’s admire some of the dahlias arranged by flower lovers during the Dahlia Flower Festival:
