Hello LCPS family and welcome back to “Think Fast.” I’m your superintendent, Aaron Spence, and on this episode, I’m here to share some exciting news. I am officially declaring tomorrow Thursday, October 16th, our second annual One LCPS Celebration Day. This is a special day where we come together to celebrate our amazing students, staff, and the incredible school communities here in Loudoun County Public Schools. I’m inviting everyone, including our students, staff, and our outstanding community members to join in the celebration. Show your school pride by wearing your school colors, your department shirt, or your favorite spirit wear. Throughout the day, I’ll be visiting our schools along with members of our senior staff and our division teams to take photos, celebrate your hard work, and say thank you for everything you do to make LCPS such a remarkable place. But let me say this, One LCPS Celebration Day is about way more than just spirit wear. It’s about showing that, together, we are One LCPS united and strong. I can’t wait to see all the pride, positivity, and community spirit on display, so be creative and really bring the energy. And now, since this is Think Fast, after all, I’m going to wrap up with a few quick questions. “What is your best school color combination?” Well, given that I have three degrees from the University of Virginia, it has to be navy blue and orange. “What’s been my favorite recent memory or proudest moment as superintendent of LCPS?” I think I’d have to say as we’ve been celebrating our test scores and seeing the growth amongst all of our students, it’s really been an opportunity to reflect on the last two years that I’ve been able to be here in LCPS and just be very proud of the engagement of our staff, the incredible teachers that we have, the leadership in our schools, and all of the work and efforts that our students and families put into making sure that they are thriving and reaching their full potential here. And we are going to keep moving onward and upward forward together. Hola familia LCPS, bienvenidos de nuevo a Think Fast. Soy su superintendente Aaron Spence y en este episodio compartiré algunas noticias emocionantes. Declaro oficialmente que mañana, jueves 16 de octubre, será nuestro segundo día anual de celebración One LCPS. Este es un día especial en el que nos reunimos para celebrar a los increíbles estudiantes, personal y a las comunidades escolares excepcionales de las Escuelas Públicas del condado de Loudoun. Invito a todos, incluidos nuestros estudiantes, personal y miembros destacados de la comunidad, a unirse a la celebración. Muestren su orgullo por la escuela al usar los colores de la escuela, la camiseta de su departamento o su ropa de espíritu escolar favorita. Durante el día, visitaré las escuelas junto con miembros del personal directivo y equipos de la división para tomar fotos, celebrar su arduo trabajo y agradecerles por lo que hacen para que LCPS sea un lugar tan extraordinario.
