WELCOME TO WORSHIP
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Paul’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news of God’s forgiveness through Jesus.

PRAYER IN PREPARATION FOR TODAY’S WORSHIP
Judge of all the earth, I can fail to live as one of your people as I face persecution for being one of your people. I can give into anger or worry or impatience. Give peace to my heart today with the knowledge of your righteous judgment to come, especially as it is centered in your work for my salvation. Continue to work in me your gracious purposes. In your name I pray. Amen.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

MIDWEEK STUDY: DEFENDING THE FAITH

Defending the Faith is a six-lesson apologetics Bible study to help Christians thoughtfully and lovingly engage in conversation with skeptics of the Christian faith. We do this using God’s eternal truths as well as God’s gift of reason, which is rooted in gentleness and respect. All this with the goal of love towards neighbor. May this study lead us to see apologetics as a ministry of caring for others!

OFFERING PLATES TO BE PASSED AGAIN – NOV. 30TH

St. Paul’s council discussed and has approved bringing back the tradition of passing the offering plates in the middle of the service. We will return to this practice at the start of the new church year on Sunday, November 30th. Following the sermon each service, as the ushers pass the offering plates, the congregation will be invited to sing a verse or two of a hymn praising God and expressing thanks for his gifts. If you give your offering online, you can continue to do so at the link in the QR code inside the front cover of each worship bulletin.

JOIN OUR SNOW REMOVAL TEAM

We hate to think of snow, but it will be coming eventually. We have had a great group of volunteers that have kept the church sidewalk clear. It would be helpful if we could get a few more willing participants to spread the load a bit. If you are available and willing to join this crew of fine individuals, we would sincerely appreciate it. Please contact Dan Arndt at 608-269-1200.

THAI VILLAGE PRESENTATION

Lydia Schultz moved back from Chiang Mai, Thailand, one year ago after serving with Friends Network and volunteering at Thai Village. Now she serves as Program Advocate for Thai Village. Thai Village is a nonprofit in Northern Thailand whose purpose is to train and employ low-income people, support Christian education, and share God’s love in the community. She will share about the different programs and ministry that happen at Thai Village and in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on November 23rd in between services.

MEMORIAL POINSETTIAS FOR CHRISTMAS

We are now taking orders for memorial poinsettias to decorate the church for the Christmas season. If you would like to purchase one in memory or honor of a loved one, please sign up using the order form located in the church lobby. Deadline to sign up is November 23rd. Expected arrival is early December.

PIZZA RANCH FUNDRAISER

Pizza and helping raise money for the grades 5-8 class trip? All while stretching out the stomach for Thanksgiving dinner, too? Those sound like great reasons to head to Pizza Ranch on Tuesday, November 25th, between 4:00 and 9:00 pm, to raise funds for the school trip this year. So far we’ve broken Pizza Ranch fundraising records, so let’s do it again, especially since 10% of each sale goes to the class trip. Kids eat free, and one child 10 and under eats free per full-priced paying adult. We’ll see you there!
