The Bill is a British police procedural television series that originated from a one-off drama called Woodentop. The programme was broadcast on ITV and focuses on the daily lives of the men and women at Sun Hill Police Station as they fight crime on the streets of London. The series explores the personal lives of its characters as much as it does crime, including bomb threats, armed robbery, and drug raids. The Bill was created by Geoff McQueen and features a cast including Graham Cole, Jeff Stewart, Trudie Goodwin, and Simon Rouse. The show follows the professional and personal lives of officers and detectives from the fictional Sun Hill suburb in East London, England. The series was broadcast from 16 October 1984 until 31 August 2010, and its episodes are available to view on platforms such as YouTube.
