Samurai Sentai Shinkenger is a television series that premiered in 2009. The show is part of a larger franchise and features a group of samurai characters. For eighteen generations, samurai of the Shiba Clan have suppressed the evil intentions of malevolent spirits known as the Gedoushu. These spirits enter the world of the living from gaps between buildings and other structures. The series follows Takeru Shiba, the youngest head of the Shiba Clan, as he gathers his vassals to battle the Gedoushu under the revived Doukoku Chimatsuri. The Shinkengers are the samurai warriors tasked with this mission.
