Rin Takanashi is a Japanese model and film and television actress born in Chiba, Japan, on December 17, 1988. After being scouted in Harajuku, she won the Grand Prix in an audition for Fuji TV's variety show Idol Road in 2005. Later that year, she became one of the five members of the short-lived idol group Pink Jam Princess, which disbanded following the release of a single. Takanashi began her acting career starring as lead character Morino Yoru in the 2008 film adaptation of the Japanese novel Goth. She achieved her breakthrough the following year by starring as Shiraishi M in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, the thirty-third entry of the Super Sentai series. Her stage name is written in Japanese characters as High梨臨.
