Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger is a Japanese Tokusatsu television series that aired in 2001 and is Toei's twenty-fifth production of the Super Sentai metaseries. The series celebrated the franchise's 25th anniversary and consists of 51 episodes, with the first season premiering on February 18, 2001, and the season finale airing on February 10, 2002. The show was created by Saburo Yatsude and features a cast including Noboru Kaneko, Kei Horie, Takeru Shibaki, and Kazuyoshi Sakai. According to the series, a great war between humans and the Orgs occurred long ago, and the people of Earth were believed to be the victors. However, the Orgs have returned, and five new warriors have been selected by the Power Animals to protect humanity once again by becoming Gaorangers. The series is also known as Hundred Beasts Squadron Gaoranger and was released in 2001.
