Overview
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger is a Japanese Tokusatsu television series and the 35th entry in the Super Sentai metaseries of Japanese tokusatsu. It celebrated the franchise's 35th anniversary and premiered on TV Asahi on February 13, 2011, joining Kamen Rider OOO and later Kamen Rider Fourze as programs featured on TV Asahi's "Super Hero Time". The series follows a group of young pirates from space who come to Earth to obtain the "Greatest Treasure in the Universe", which can only be acquired after obtaining the Ultimate Powers of the 34 Super Sentai. The space pirates use "pirate copies" of the powers of the older teams and fight the Space Empire Zangyack forces as the Gokaigers. The series features a cast including Ryôta Ozawa, Yuki Yamada, Mao Ichimichi, and Kazuki Shimizu. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger has received a rating of 8.6/10 on IMDb based on 750 user ratings.
