Robotech is an adaptation of three different anime television series. The series combines and edits the story of these anime shows, which were originally produced in Japan between 1982 and 1984. The adaptation was aired in 1985. The combined story revolves around the concept of Robotechnology, which refers to the scientific advances discovered in an alien starship that crashed on a South Pacific island.
