Lethal Weapon is an American buddy cop action comedy-drama television series developed by Matt Miller. Based on the film franchise created by Shane Black, the series serves as a reboot of the original property. The show aired on Fox for three seasons, spanning from September 21, 2016, to February 26, 2019. The narrative follows a slightly unhinged former Navy SEAL named Martin Riggs who moves to California to begin a new career as a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, he is partnered with Roger Murtaugh, a veteran detective who is attempting to maintain a low stress level in his life.
