Overview
The television series "Dexter: Original Sin" is a prequel to the original "Dexter" series. The show is set in 1991 Miami and follows the transition of the main character from student to avenging serial killer. The character's bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, prompting them to learn how to channel their inner darkness. With the guidance of their father, Harry, they adopt a Code designed to help them find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement's radar. This is a particular challenge for the character as they begin a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department. The show explores the character's early days as a serial killer and their struggles to balance their dark impulses with their desire to avoid detection.
