Overview

You is an American psychological thriller television series that premiered on September 9, 2018. Developed by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, the show is based on books written by Caroline Kepnes. The series is produced by Berlanti Productions, Alloy Entertainment, and A+E Studios in association with Warner Horizon Television, which is now Warner Bros. Television. The narrative centers on a dangerously charming and obsessive man who goes to extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of women who fascinate him. In the first season, the protagonist, a brilliant bookstore manager, becomes obsessed with an aspiring writer. He begins to quietly and strategically remove all obstacles that stand between them. The cast includes Penn Badgley, Victoria Pedretti, Charlotte Ritchie, and Elizabeth Lail. As the story progresses, the characters navigate complex personal situations, such as when a grieving woman turns to therapy, prompting the lead character to do the same for his own reasons. The series is scheduled to run from 2018 through 2025.
