Overview
Dexter: New Blood is an American crime drama mystery television miniseries developed by Clyde Phillips for Showtime. The production serves as a continuation of the original crime television series Dexter, which aired from 2006 to 2013. Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter reprise their roles as Dexter and Debra Morgan, respectively, and the cast also includes Jack Alcott, Julia Jones, and Johnny Sequoyah. Ten years after Dexter went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura and faked his death in Miami, the story finds him living in the small town of Iron Lake, New York, under an assumed name. While he attempts to embrace this new life, unexpected events in the close-knit community cause his dark passenger to beckon. The narrative further explores his history as he receives an unexpected visit from the son he abandoned. As a man in conflict with his deadly compulsions and his desire for happiness, Dexter faces new challenges in this follow-up to the original series.
