Ralph Moody was an American actor born on November 5, 1886, in Saint Louis, Missouri. He died on September 16, 1971, at the age of 84. Moody worked in stock theater across the United States for more than four decades, leading his own troupe for nearly half of that time. He began his radio career in 1939 at WIBW in Topeka, Kansas, and later served as an actor and announcer at WLW radio in Cincinnati. His radio credits include the Roy Rogers Show, Wild Bill Hickok, X Minus One, and Gunsmoke. He also played Gramps on the NBC Radio program The Trouble with the Truitts. Moody appeared in over 100 television shows and more than 50 movies.
