Overview

Johnny Ringo is an American Western television series that aired on CBS from October 1, 1959, until June 30, 1960, according to The Movie Database, although Wikipedia states the end date as September 29, 1960. The series stars Don Durant and is loosely based on the life of the notorious gunfighter and outlaw Johnny Ringo. Johnny Ringo is also known as John Peters Ringo or John B. Ringgold, and he tangled with Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, and Buckskin Franklin Leslie. The show was created by Aaron Spelling and features Don Durant, Mark Goddard, Karen Sharpe, and Terence de Marney. The series follows the story of Johnny Ringo, a former gunfighter who becomes the sheriff of a small Western town, where he attempts to keep the peace with the aid of his deputy and others.
