Biography
Michael Keaton, born Michael John Douglas on September 5, 1951, is an American actor known for his versatile performances across comedy and drama. He gained early recognition in Night Shift (1982), Mr. Mom (1983), and Beetlejuice (1988). His portrayal of Batman in Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992) brought him widespread fame. Keaton received critical acclaim for roles in Clean and Sober (1988), Much Ado About Nothing (1993), The Paper (1994), Multiplicity (1996), and Jackie Brown (1997). He has won a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards, and was nominated for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award. In 2016, he was named Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters in France.
