Luke George Evans, born 15 April 1979 in Pontypool, Wales, United Kingdom, is a Welsh male actor. He began his professional career on the stage, appearing in several West End productions including Rent, Miss Saigon and Piaf. Evans made his film breakthrough with the 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans. He subsequently appeared in the action and thriller films Immortals (2011), The Raven (2012) and the re‑imagined The Three Musketeers (2011). In 2013 he portrayed the main antagonist Owen Shaw in Fast & Furious 6 and also played Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson’s three‑part adaptation of The Hobbit. He later took on the role of Dracula in the film origin story titled Drac.
