Lori Petty is an American actress, director, and screenwriter born on October 14, 1963, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She made her big screen debut in the 1990 comedy film Cadillac Man. She subsequently starred in several films during the 1990s, including Point Break in 1991, A League of Their Own in 1992, Free Willy in 1993, The Glass Shield in 1994, and played the title role in Tank Girl in 1995. In 1996, she created and starred in the Fox sitcom Lush Life and later acted in independent and smaller-scale movies. In 2008, she wrote and directed the independent drama film The Poker House, which was based on her early life during the 1970s. In 2014, she joined the Netflix comedy-drama series Orange Is the New Black as Lolly Whitehill.
