Biography

Len Cariou is a Canadian actor born on September 30, 1939. He gained prominence for his Tony Award-winning title role in the original cast of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street in 1979. Prior to this, Cariou earned nominations for his performances in musicals Applause in 1970 and A Little Night Music in 1973. He has appeared in various films, including The Four Seasons, Thirteen Days, About Schmidt, Flags of Our Fathers, Prisoners, and Spotlight. On television, Cariou is known for his work in the shows Murder, She Wrote, Brotherhood, Damages, and Blue Bloods, where he had a starring role from 2010.
