Biography
Thomas William Selleck, born January 29, 1945, is an American actor best known for his role as private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I., which aired from 1980 to 1988. For this role, he received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He also starred as Commissioner Frank Reagan in the CBS drama Blue Bloods, beginning in 2010. Selleck has appeared in numerous made-for-television movies and series, including roles such as Dr. Richard Burke on Friends and A.J. Cooper on Las Vegas. His film credits include Mr. Baseball, Quigley Down Under, and Three Men and a Baby.
