Kazunori Ito is a Japanese screenwriter recognized for his contributions to the Ghost in the Shell movie, the Patlabor films, and the .hack franchise. He is a founding member of Headgear, a collective of five writers and artists that also includes Mamoru Oshii, Akemi Takada, Yutaka Izubuchi, and Masami Yuki. Additionally, Ito is a fan of classic tokusatsu, an interest that influenced his work on the Gamera trilogy directed by Shusuke Kaneko.
