Magical Angel Creamy Mami is a magical girl anime television series produced by Studio Pierrot that aired on Nippon Television from 1983 to 1984. The series follows a young girl named Yuu who, after witnessing a spaceship, is granted the ability to use magic for one year. During her journey, she is accompanied by two cats named Poji and Negi. This production marked the first of five magical girl anime series created by Studio Pierrot and was the first among them to feature character designs by Akemi Takada. In addition to the television run, a three-volume manga was released featuring a story by Kazunori Ito and art by Yuuko Kitagawa. The franchise expanded beyond the original broadcast to include five OVA adaptations and appearances in various Studio Pierrot special presentations. In 2005, the series was included in a web-based poll conducted by TV Asahi to determine the top 100 anime of all time. The show is categorized under the genres of animation, comedy, science fiction, fantasy, and children's programming.
