Jorge Garcia is an American actor and comedian born on April 28, 1973, in Omaha, Nebraska. His mother, Dora Mesa, is a Cuban-born professor, and his father, Humberto Garcia, is a Chilean-born doctor. He grew up in Southern California and attended San Clemente High School. Garcia first gained public attention playing Hector Lopez on the television show Becker and later portrayed Hugo Hurley Reyes in the television series Lost. He also performs as a stand-up comedian and starred in the Fox television series Alcatraz, in addition to playing a minor character on the ABC series Once Upon a Time.
