John Cleese is an English actor, comedian, writer, and film producer. Born on October 27, 1939, in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, England, UK. He achieved success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and as a scriptwriter and performer on The Frost Report. Cleese became a member of Monty Python, a comedy troupe responsible for the sketch show Monty Python's Flying Circus and four Monty Python films. He co-wrote and starred in the British sitcom Fawlty Towers with his first wife Connie Booth. Cleese has co-starred with various actors in multiple projects, including A Fish Called, alongside Kevin Kline, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Michael Palin.
