Biography
Jeremy Lee Renner, born January 7, 1971, is an American actor who began his career in independent films such as Dahmer (2002) and Neo Ned (2005). He gained wider recognition with supporting roles in S.W.A.T. (2003) and 28 Weeks Later (2007). Renner received critical acclaim for his performance in The Hurt Locker (2008), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, and was later nominated for Best Supporting Actor for The Town (2010). He portrayed Clint Barton / Hawkeye in multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including Thor (2011), The Avengers (2012), and Avengers: Endgame (2019), among others. Despite sharing a name with the Pearl Jam song "Jeremy," there is no known connection between the actor and the 1992 rock single.
