Frank Wilton Marshall is an American film producer and director born on September 13, 1946. Born in Los Angeles, California, to musician Jack Marshall, he began his career in the film industry after meeting Peter Bogdanovich in 1966, leading to work on the 1968 film Targets. Marshall co-founded the production company Amblin Entertainment in 1981 alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Steven Spielberg. In 1991, he and Kennedy founded The Kennedy/Marshall Company, where Marshall has served as the sole principal since May 2012. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with directors including Orson Welles, Martin Scorsese, Paul Greengrass, David Fincher, M. Night Shyamalan, and Robert Zemeckis. His directorial credits include Arachnophobia, Alive, and Congo.
