Kathleen Kennedy is an American film producer born on June 5, 1953, in Berkeley, California. In 1981, she co-founded the production company Amblin Entertainment alongside Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall, who became her eventual husband. Her first film as a producer was E.T. in 1982. A decade later, she again worked with Spielberg to produce the Jurassic Park franchise, with the first two films ranking among the top ten highest-grossing films of the 1990s. In 1992, Kennedy and Marshall founded The Kennedy/Marshall Company. Following the acquisition of Lucasfilm by The Walt Disney Company, Kennedy became the president of Lucasfilm in 2012, overseeing its development and production.
