He is an American former actor best known for his television roles as Steven Hyde on That '70s Show from 1998 to 2006, Milo Foster on Men at Work from 2012 to 2014, and Jameson Rooster Bennett on The Ranch from 2016 to 2018. He married actress Bijou Phillips in 2011, and the couple separated in 2023. Masterson is a Scientologist. In May 2023, he was convicted of raping two women in 2003, with a third count resulting in a hung jury. In September 2023, he received a sentence of 30 years to life in prison.
