Mac appeared in several films, including Ocean's Eleven and Mr. 3000. He also starred in the television show The Bernie Mac Show, which aired from 2001 through 2006. Mac was nominated for two Emmy Awards for his work on the show. He passed away on August 9, 2008, at the age of 50.
