Andrés Arturo García Menéndez, known professionally as Andy Garcia, is an American actor, director, producer, and musician born on April 12, 1956. He gained early recognition for his role in Brian De Palma's The Untouchables (1987) alongside Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, and Robert De Niro. Garcia continued with prominent roles in Stand and Deliver (1988), Internal Affairs (1990), and The Godfather Part III (1990), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He later appeared in films such as Hero (1992), When a Man Loves a Woman (1994), Desperate Measures (1998), and Ocean's Eleven. Garcia has maintained a significant presence in Hollywood while also pursuing personal projects.
