Overview

Passengers is a 2016 science fiction film centered on a spacecraft journeying toward a distant colony planet. The vessel is responsible for transporting thousands of individuals who are kept in specialized sleep chambers for the duration of the voyage. The narrative begins when a technical malfunction occurs within the ship, causing the sleep systems to fail. As a consequence of this mechanical error, two passengers are awakened from their stasis pods.
