Biography
Akio Nojima (野島 昭生, Nojima Akio, born April 6, 1945) is a Japanese actor, voice actor and narrator from Nishitōkyō, Tokyo. His sons, Hirofumi Nojima and Kenji Nojima, are voice actors and his other son Satoshi is a nature writer. His grandson (Kenji's eldest son) is the actor Toya Nojima. He is affiliated with Sigma Seven.
Akio was born in Fushun, Manchuria, Republic of China. His father was drafted into the army and killed in action 40 days after his birth, just a month before the end of World War II. After the end of the war, his mother and his older sister were brought back to Japan, where they lived in an apartment in the Suginami Ward, Nishitōkyō, Tokyo.
